Synopsis

Set in 1967, 'Wolf Totem' follows the journey of a young Beijing student, Chen Zhen, who is sent to live among the nomadic herdsmen of Inner Mongolia. Chen Zhen becomes fascinated with the wolves in the region, particularly their deep connection with the nomads. As he learns more about the wolves and their way of life, he begins to question his own beliefs and values.
