Reviews

Yours, Mine & Ours received mixed to negative reviews from critics and audiences alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a mere 6%, indicating widespread dissatisfaction, while IMDb users rated it 5.5/10, suggesting a lukewarm reception. Metacritic's rating of 38/100 reflects the critical view that the film fell short of expectations. The consensus among many reviewers is that, despite its charming premise and comedic potential, the execution left much to be desired. The New York Times noted, 'while a few moments elicit genuine laughter, much of it feels predictable and formulaic.' Others echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that while Dennis Quaid and Renee Russo deliver amiable performances, the story itself lacks depth and fails to deliver substantial comedy. A notable review from Common Sense Media mentioned, 'there are heartwarming moments, but they are overshadowed by the shallow plot.' Despite its shortcomings, some family viewers appreciated its entertaining aspects, making it a tolerable family watch focused on the chaos of family life.
