Synopsis

Man on the Edge, also known as 박수건달, is a South Korean comedy-drama film released in 2013, directed by Jo Jin-kyu. The story follows the life of Kwon Hyeok-su (played by Park Shin-yang), a feared gangster whose life takes an unexpected turn when he begins to experience supernatural phenomena. Suddenly finding himself possessing the ability to communicate with the dead, Hyeok-su is pushed into a weird double life - by day, he continues his gangster activities, and by night, he serves as a shaman. The film skillfully balances humor and drama, exploring themes of identity, personal responsibility, and redemption as Hyeok-su grapples with his new, dual existence.
