Synopsis
In the 1979 film 'The Electric Horseman', directed by Sydney Pollack, Robert Redford stars as a disillusioned former rodeo champion named Sonny Steele. Sonny is now a spokesperson for a cereal company and performs in flashy promotional events. However, after witnessing the mistreatment of a prized racehorse named Rising Star, Sonny decides to liberate the animal from its corporate handlers. Together with a reporter named Hallie Martin, played by Jane Fonda, Sonny embarks on a daring cross-country journey to set Rising Star free in the wild.
