The Host

Synopsis

In the sci-fi romance film The Host, based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer, Earth has been taken over by parasitic aliens that inhabit human bodies. Melanie Stryder, played by Saoirse Ronan, is one of the last surviving humans who resists the alien takeover. After being captured and implanted with an alien soul named Wanderer, Melanie struggles to regain control of her body and protect her loved ones. As Wanderer starts to experience Melanie's memories and emotions, the two form an unexpected bond that could change the fate of humanity forever.
