Reviews

Critically, Timber Falls has received mixed to negative reviews, reflecting its divisive reception among audiences. With a low 38% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has been deemed unoriginal by several critics. 'The film dances too close to formulaic horror,' noted a reviewer from HorrorNews.net, while IMDb users have rated it a mere 5.2/10, suggesting that many viewers felt it lacked depth. However, some fans appreciate the film's visceral approach to horror, with certain highlights including the cinematography that captures the haunting beauty of the West Virginia mountains. A critic from Dread Central recognized, 'While it doesn't break new ground, it effectively delivers the suspense and terror one expects from a cabin-in-the-woods horror flick.' Additionally, the performances of the cast have received some praise, with Josh Randallโ€™s portrayal of Mike standing out according to a reviewer from Bloody Disgusting. Overall, while 'Timber Falls' impresses with its atmospheric settings, it struggles under the weight of tired tropes in the horror genre.
