Synopsis

In the movie Corpus Christi (Boże Ciało), directed by Jan Komasa and released in 2019, Bartosz Bielenia plays the main character Daniel who aspires to become a priest. Due to his criminal past, he is unable to directly join the seminary, but after his release from a juvenile detention center, he impersonates a young priest in a small village. Through his unconventional approach and powerful sermons, Daniel starts to influence the community positively. However, his troubled past and deception threaten to unravel his newfound purpose and the relationships he has built.
