Reviews

Dokidoki! PreCure has received mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike. On IMDb, it stands at a rating of 6.5/10, indicating an average reception. Critics have highlighted its vibrant animation and engaging character designs. For instance, a review on Anime News Network noted, "The character dynamics are refreshing, with a focus on deepening friendships and evolving arcs, which provide an emotional depth not always seen in magical girl series." However, some reviewers considered the pacing inconsistent, pointing out that certain episodes felt rushed or lacked development. A review from MyAnimeList mentioned, "Although the series has a strong start, there are moments where the storyline deviations affect overall engagement, particularly in the mid-series." Despite some critiques, many appreciate the heartfelt messages about bravery and cooperation, making it a suitable choice for younger audiences. Overall, while fans of the magical girl genre might find enjoyment in its themes, some may find the execution lacking compared to previous entries in the long-running franchise.
