Synopsis

Chihayafuru: Part I follows the story of Chihaya Ayase, a high school girl who discovers her passion for competitive karuta, a traditional Japanese card game. Determined to become the Queen of Karuta, she forms a karuta club with her childhood friends Taichi and Arata. As they train tirelessly to compete in the national championship, they face various challenges and rivalries that test their friendship and determination.
