Reviews

Tarzan and the She-Devil has received mixed reviews over the years. On IMDb, the movie holds a modest rating of 5.3/10, reflecting lukewarm audience reception. Some critics have noted that while Lex Barker brings a commanding presence to the role of Tarzan, the film's plot is often seen as formulaic and less engaging compared to earlier Tarzan adventures. Rotten Tomatoes does not have an official score due to the film's vintage status, but available reviews cover the film's strengths in showcasing exotic jungle scenery and classic action sequences. Critics have also pointed out that the She-Devil character, although a unique antagonist, can come across as underdeveloped. In reviews from classic film enthusiasts, the movie is appreciated for its nostalgic value and campy charm but is also recognized as lacking in depth and modern pacing. Overall, Tarzan and the She-Devil is often recommended for dedicated fans of the franchise or vintage adventure films, while general audiences may find it somewhat dated.
