Reviews
An Enemy of the People, directed by George Schaefer, garnered mixed reviews upon its release. While some praised the film's timely themes and powerful performances, others found its pacing slow and the dialogue heavy-handed. Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a rating of 7.5/10, with the consensus stating that 'An Enemy of the People offers a potent allegory for contemporary societal dilemmas, though its execution may not appeal to all audiences'. IMDb, on the other hand, rated the movie 8.0/10, with viewers appreciating the film's relevancy and Daly's compelling portrayal. Metacritic gave it a score of 70 out of 100, noting the film's ability to provoke critical thinking but criticizing its lack of subtlety in conveying its message.
