Synopsis

In the 1860s, amidst the turmoil of the Civil War, the neighborhood of Five Points in New York City becomes a battleground for different immigrant groups struggling for control. The young Amsterdam Vallon, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, seeks revenge against the powerful crime lord Bill the Butcher, portrayed by Daniel Day-Lewis, who murdered his father years ago. As Amsterdam infiltrates Bill's inner circle, he must navigate through treachery, betrayal, and violent confrontations to achieve his ultimate goal.
