Reviews
Critics had mixed reactions to The Evil That Men Do, with the film holding a 40% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 5.9/10 score on IMDb. The Washington Post described it as a 'formulaic thriller' that fails to elevate itself beyond its predictable plot, commenting on Bronson's performance as 'reliable but not exceptional'. The film also received a low score of 32/100 from Metacritic, indicating generally unfavorable reviews. However, there were some positive notes; for example, 'if you enjoy Bronson as a tough anti-hero in gritty escapades, you might find some enjoyment here,' stated Film Review Magazine, praising the film's ability to deliver the action that long-time fans of the genre expect. It’s also noted that while the film's narrative may not introduce anything groundbreaking, it does deliver some satisfying action sequences, making it a possible watch for die-hard Bronson admirers. Ultimately, 'The Evil That Men Do' may evoke nostalgia for fans of 1980s action films, despite its shortcomings in storytelling and critical reception.
