Synopsis

In the year 2013, a group of nine people known as cyborgs with supernatural powers are reactivated by a mysterious force after years of inactivity. Each cyborg struggles with their own past traumas and choices as they are summoned to defend humanity against a series of deadly terrorist attacks. Led by the enigmatic Joe Shimamura, the cyborgs must confront their internal demons and decide whether to use their powers for the greater good or give in to their own desires. As the world teeters on the brink of destruction, 009 Re:Cyborg explores themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the true nature of humanity.
