Synopsis

Silence is a historical drama film directed by Martin Scorsese, based on the 1966 novel of the same name by Shūsaku Endō. The story follows two Jesuit priests, Sebastião Rodrigues and Francisco Garrpe, who travel to Japan in the 17th century to locate their missing mentor and spread the Gospel.
