Reviews

Get Married, directed by Hanung Bramantyo and starring Nirina Zubir, has garnered a mixed reception from both critics and audiences. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.5/10, indicating a generally positive response with some reservations. Critics have praised the film for its humor and heartwarming portrayal of friendship and family dynamics. For instance, one reviewer on IMDb noted, 'The performances, especially by Nirina Zubir, are heartfelt and engaging.' Another review from Rotten Tomatoes praised the film's 'charming and hilarious look at societal expectations and personal happiness,' yet didn't shy away from pointing out that 'some scenes feel exaggerated and the pacing could be tighter.' On the other hand, some critics have expressed that the film occasionally falls into predictable rom-com tropes. A Metacritic reviewer commented, 'While Get Married is entertaining, it doesn't offer much in terms of originality.' Additionally, some viewers have found the film's slapstick humor to be hit or miss. Overall, Get Married is seen as a fun, if somewhat formulaic, romantic comedy that delivers solid performances and a few good laughs.
