Reviews

Critics had mixed yet notable opinions about "Kill the Irishman." On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a rating of 62%, indicating a generally positive response, though not overwhelmingly so. The consensus suggests that while it features strong performances, particularly from Ray Stevenson, it struggles with pacing and narrative cohesion. A review from The Hollywood Reporter summarized the film as 'a bloody good time, driven by a powerful central performance but losing its momentum as the story unfolds.' IMDb users rated the film a solid 7.0/10, praising it for its engaging action sequences and an interesting portrayal of a lesser-known historical figure. However, Metacritic scored it a lukewarm 50/100, with many calling out issues with character development. For instance, a review on Collider noted, 'Itโ€™s a wild ride, but the characters could have been explored more deeply.' Overall, while the film delivers exciting moments and a compelling historical narrative, it leaves some viewers wanting a richer storytelling experience.
