Reviews

Noah's Arc has garnered largely positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. The show holds a 7.6/10 rating on IMDb, attesting to its significant impact and favorable reception. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the series is praised for its authentic representation and engaging storyline, which The Advocate describes as 'a refreshing and unapologetically honest look at the lives of Black gay men'. Metacritic users also highlight the show’s groundbreaking approach to LGBTQ+ narratives, stating that it 'bravely tackles issues rarely seen on television with sincerity and humor.' Entertainment Weekly lauds the charisma and chemistry of the main cast, particularly singling out Darryl Stephens for his 'nuanced and heartfelt portrayal of Noah.' However, some critics have noted that while the show’s exploration of social themes is commendable, the dialogue and certain plotlines occasionally fall into stereotypical tropes, as pointed out by a review in The Hollywood Reporter. Nonetheless, Noah's Arc remains a 'trailblazing series that opened doors for more diverse storytelling in television,' as stated by The New York Times.
