Silent Running

Synopsis

In the year 2008, Earth's last remaining forests are preserved in large geodesic domes aboard a spacecraft, tended by botanist Freeman Lowell, played by Bruce Dern. When orders come to destroy the forests and return home, Lowell rebels, deciding to save the precious cargo at all costs. As he ventures deeper into space, Lowell faces challenges that test his beliefs and convictions.
