Reviews

Despite its star power with George Segal and Goldie Hawn, "The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox" fails to fully capitalize on their talents. With a meandering plot and inconsistent pacing, the film struggles to find its footing, leaving audiences wanting more depth and cohesiveness in the storytelling. While George Segal brings his usual charm to the role of Charlie, the character development falls flat, leaving viewers disconnected from his journey. Goldie Hawn's portrayal of Amanda injects some much-needed energy into the film, but even her spirited performance can't salvage the lackluster script. Critics have noted the uneven tonal shifts and the missed opportunities for genuine emotional resonance in the film. Despite a few moments of humor and the undeniable chemistry between the leads, "The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox" ultimately falls short of its potential. IMDb: 5.7/10, Rotten Tomatoes: 50%.
